It’s the last week before the two week Olympic break. It’s time to put up of shut up for those wishing to make a push toward the playoffs.

Welcome to Dave B’s inaugural NHL Power Rankings list. Each Sunday, I will review each team’s previous week’s performance, analyze their upcoming schedules, and rank the teams accordingly.

The Big 12 has more than just Texas and Kansas this year. There are 8 teams in this conference that have 5 losses or less, 2 of them have only 1 loss, and 3 teams are ranked in the Top 10. As a matter of fact, the home teams combined headed into last weekend from the Big 12 were 104-4 SU at home.
The sixth week of 2009-10 NBA regular season saw the league’s elite title contenders move back to the top of the pecking order in my weekly NBA Power Rankings while many of the upstart title contenders in each conference fell back a bit to rankings more befitting of their contender status.
Another NBA season is set to start, seems like the last season just got over! I love capping the NBA, year in and year out one of my strongest sports. If any season other than MLB is a marathon, it is the NBA. My low volume approach is one I have adopted over the years for good reason, Money Management. I find the best nba bet on the board daily, and wager it. All on a flat bet basis.
There has been enough football under our belt in this conference to weigh out my power ratings. I use these as overlays against the spread. Much like many novice cappers do with the Sargin ratings in USA Today against the Las Vegas Line. It is not broken down by division but is an overall ranking based on offense, defense, special teams, turnover ratios, and a few other intangibles.
Penneant races are heating up, and teams are bringing their A game every night, as well as some teams that are not so good and out of the playoff races, not throwing in the towel yet either This is also the time of year that opportunity knocks for sharp players to make large profits on MLB wagering, as oddsmakers are slower to react to changes in MLB with the king of all betting, football, now in full swing and taking a lot of attention away from bases.
The betting scene is shifting to pigskin as the dog days of summer wear down.
As some NFL races are about to start, the MLB races are about to start coming down the stretch.

The Dodgers and Rangers continue to provide gamblers with profits, but it’s the Los Angeles Angels and Colorado Rockies who all of a sudden are becoming hot in the BetUS online sportsbook.
The Angels in particular are starting to look like a difficult team for other A.L. teams to handle. The Red Sox continue to win and the Rockies?
Well, the Rockies are just beating good teams without looking like they’re trying.
With the All Star break nearing it is time to take stock of some of the better teams in MLB.
Here is a look with some notes on my Top 10 teams in MLB betting circles as of June 15th.
1. LA Dodgers – With 42 wins, the Dodgers have done it without the services on Manny, and hitting just .220 as a team and averaging under 3 runs a game in their last 10. The bullpen has an ERA of 2.97 on the year and with a solid starter rotation, and Manny coming back soon, they look to be the beast in the West for the entire season.
Wow how time has flown by, it’s been two weeks since Craig released his MLB top 5 power rankings. Craig’s uses his Power Rankings as one of many tools to help establish weak lines and also to pick winners. Not much has changed in his top 5 with only one new team but several have moved within the top 5.

Movers and Shakers: Cincinnati Reds (+15) – Baltimore Orioles (-15)
As the basketball betting favorites to win the NBA title this year, Cleveland and the Los Angeles Lakers get the honor of leading our postseason NBA Power Rankings as we prepare for the second season to start on Saturday.
1. (1) Cleveland Cavaliers (66-16): They just missed tying the record for home wins, but they pushed Philadelphia to overtime with their scrubs.

Movers and Shakers: Toronto Blue Jays (+21) – Cleveland Indians (-17)

Even NBA betting players were focusing on the NCAA Tournament, but with the playoffs coming up, the NBA power rankings are returning with a new No.1 team, and some movement in the top 10.
1. (2) Cleveland Cavaliers (63-15): The Cavs finally take the top spot, but a blowout loss in Orlando last Friday is worrying. Sunday’s visit from Boston should be entertaining.
2. (1) Los Angeles Lakers (62-16): The Lakers didn’t do much to lose the top spot, but losing in Charlotte didn’t help. Andrew Bynum should be back very soon to join the Lake Show for their playoff run.
Some playoff teams are still jockeying for position (a.k.a. how can we avoid the Cavaliers or Lakers in the first round?), but for the most part during the final week or so the members of the Association will partake in a macro version of garbagetime.
Baseball fans in Kansas City and Pittsburgh know what we’re talking about here.
