Reinforcements Have Steelers Set To Challenge For AFC North Crown In 2014
The Pittsburgh Steelers went to three Super Bowls from 2005 through 2010 and won two of them. Heading in to 2014, they face the harsh reality of a team at risk of missing the playoffs for a third straight year.
The Pittsburgh Steelers finished 2013 with an 8-8 record, which tied the Baltimore Ravens for second in the AFC North. Unfortunately for the team, it was left on the outside looking in when it came to the postseason.
After getting to the Super Bowl in 2011, the Steelers 2012 playoffs ended with a disappointing first round loss to the Denver Broncos. Pittsburgh’s defense wasn’t quite as dominant last season, but injuries were at least partially to blame.
It was ironic that the team with the most Super Bowl titles played like a team that had never been to the Super Bowl when the Pittsburgh Steelers faced the Green Bay Packers in last year’s biggest game.
