Oklahoma City has worked this to a three game series after back to back wins at home. It has been an amazing turnaround given how soundly they were beaten in game two, so much so I am not sure you can put it all on the return of Serge Ibaka.
The Thunder were showing signs that the loss of Serge Ibaka is going to be a big one. Not only did they lose game one, the first loss to San Antonio all season long, they looked soft in the middle, something that is going to be hard to correct over the course of the series.
The Thunder won a spirited series against the Clippers. They are definitely one of the top teams in the West but this group has yet to reach the very top of the mountain.
The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will do battle in the Western Conference Finals. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see the top two seeds in the West squaring off in hopes of representing the conference in the NBA Finals.
Oklahoma City led by nine early in the fourth quarter, but the San Antonio Spurs kicked it into high gear and won their 19th straight game Sunday night in Game One of the Western Conference Finals.
It’s one of the most anticipated playoff series’ in years. Oklahoma City is an up and coming young team full of talent.
