I bounced back with a nice Week 4 but Week 5 will be no easy task. Many of this week’s spreads look positively treacherous on paper. Let’s see if I can find some viable ones to try.

Four weeks into the 2010 NFL season there is already some serious head-scratching going on. There is only one undefeated team left; the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs, the NFC East and West each have three teams at 2-2, Indianapolis has already lost as many games as it did all last season, and St. Louis is in the midst of a two game winning streak. One can only imagine what surprises are in store for this week.
The Minnesota Vikings will be looking to start the NFL season 5-0 for the first time since 2003 when they visit the winless St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
The Vikings are a 10-point favorite and the over/under is 41 in NFL Betting Odds at betED.com.
Despite the differing overall records this season, St. Louis has had lots of success head-to-head, going 5-1 ATS in the past six meetings, and 4-1 SU in the past five.
The two big games for week 5 include a couple of teams I did not think we would be talking about before the season began. The 3-1 New England Patriots travel to Denver to take on the surprising 4-0 Broncos and 3-1 Cincinnati heads to Baltimore to clash with the 3-1 Ravens for the outright lead in the AFC North.
Week five is here and we are already one quarter of the way through the 2009 NFL season. This week teams will begin to spread out and separate themselves in the standings. The Titans are still looking for a win at 0-4, a long way from the 13-3 they were in 2008. After losing two straight, last years Champion Pittsburgh Steelers evened their record at 2-2 with an impressive win over the San Diego Chargers, and the Denver Broncos are 4-0 in the post Jay Cutler era.
