Second place in the AFC North will be on the line at M&T Bank Field on Sunday afternoon when the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4, 3-7 ATS) visit the Baltimore Ravens (5-5, 6-4 ATS). Both teams suffered bad losses last week, as Baltimore is coming off of a 17-15 defeat at the hands of the perfect Indianapolis Colts, while the Steelers lost a painful 27-24 decision at Kansas City.
Two of the top offenses in the NFL get it on for a Monday Night Football betting battle between the New England Patriots (7-3, 5-4-1 ATS) and the New Orleans Saints (10-0, 7-3 ATS). This could reasonably be the last huge hurdle between the Saints and an undefeated regular season. The Patriots still look to be picking up the pieces from their miserable loss in Indianapolis two weeks ago in their quest to prove that they are the top team in the NFL.
It’s Turkey Time again. Time to take a close look at the NFL betting lines and see what the home teams have to offer. With each passing year, the game of football takes a harder toll on the human body, and it becomes that much more difficult to drag your bones into someone else’s stadium. The underdogs ruled the day for the third week in a row as ten teams covered the spread with four teams; Miami, Kansas City, Oakland, and Tennessee winning outright. Give credit to two AFC West teams; the Raiders and the Chiefs for pulling off the most improbable upsets. Both of these teams are 5-5 and right in the playoff chase in the NFC. The game starts at 8:30 pm ET game on ESPN and the Saints are 2 ½-point favorites, but only a tiny 17% of bettors are backing them.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Willie Parker could be the key to their Thursday night game against Cincinnati as well as to big payoffs in a number of proposition odds.
The Steelers are 11-point favorites against the Bengals with the Over/Under just 34.5. The game is being broadcast on the NFL Network beginning at 8:15 pm ET. There is about an even split betting wise with 48% backing the home team.
The New York Giants may be the best team in football but they have quite the challenge on their hands this week at the desert-hot Arizona Cardinals.
These teams are a combined 16-4 straight-up and 15-5 ATS, so it makes sense that it’s a close spread with the Giants three-point favorites. The early betting for this game is a little surprising with 95% backing New York.
