The Lions’ defense has much better players and much better communication than the team in 2008.
The Houston Texans appear to be a popular suicide pick this week. After all, what better week to pick the Texans, right?
The Texans, who have been 6-2 at home in each of the last two seasons, are 0-2 so far at Reliant Stadium this year. On top of that, they get a visit from the lousy Raiders this week, who seem to be playing with an eye-patch just like their logo.
Last week I went 13 of 16 for my NFL Expert Picks, including more upsets. This week we have some huge matchups like the Jets visiting the Saints in a battle of undefeated teams, or Tom Brady and the Patriots trying to answer a lot of the questions about if they are still the same team from 2 years ago.
Well, NFL betting fans, do you still think I’m crazy? The Shocker Special urged you to pick Detroit over Washington last week and didn’t lead you astray. Let’s see if we can start a trend. This week’s pick probably seems just as crazy: the pathetic Browns to beat the surprising Cincinnati Bengals…or at least cover the 5.5-point spread.
The sports betting world is getting set to make their NFL picks for this coming Week 4 schedule and one of the things everyone needs to be aware of is, of course, injuries. But not just players who are out of the lineup because of nicks and bruises, but also players who are coming back from an injury…or from a league mandated suspension.
The week three betting totals slightly favored the under as seven games went over the total and nine games stayed under. Defense was the name of the game this week as even the Saints were held to under 30. Here is a brief recap of all the games.

The surprising San Francisco 49’ers and the Petersons, aka the Minnesota Vikings, will get it on this Sunday and everyone wants to know if this 49ers teams is for real.
Both teams are undefeated and both teams are 2 and 0 ATS. The 49’ers were brilliant against both the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks. The Minnesota Vikings were terrific against the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions.

Week two saw offense take center stage as nine games went over and eight teams scored 30 or more points on their own. For the most part, the seven games that stayed under were well below their predicted totals especially the Patriots-Jets game which was a shocker.

The Seattle Seahawks have been the team to beat in the NFC West throughout this decade and after an injury-ravaged season, they are ready to take their crown back.
The Arizona Cardinals may not wear the crown for very long, especially not if they continue to play like they did in Week 1. The San Francisco 49ers went into the University of Phoenix Stadium and upended the NFC Champs.
With San Diego’s come from behind victory over the Raiders last night we can now close the book on week 1 in the NFL.
