This looks like a bracket with picks that are bound to have an upset or two. OU is playing below their mid season level, UNC is banged up, Syracuse has to be tired by now, Gonzaga will look to play spoiler again, and LSU and Arizona ST. have looked like world beaters this year….it’s wide open in the South.
This looks like an awesome bracket to me. You may as well call it the bracket of death. In my opinion no other bracket can stack up against the top 4 teams in this bracket pound for pound. I have 1 question though. Is UConn overrated? After all they managed to grab the top seed despite not winning the Big East regular season, or the conference title. Brutal in my opinion. This looks like a better bracket on paper than the mid-west bracket, and you’ve got to think the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the East Region will meet again?! YES! While there is only a smattering of teams from the Big East in the polls, the upper echelon of the rankings has a strong Eastern flavor.
We are less than a month away from Selection Sunday (March 15) and the tip-off to March Madness. As the countdown to the Big Dance starts, the intensity level for all teams is turned up, even those with an invite already assured.

It always causes a sensation when a big-name college basketball program gets its head handed to it on a platter by one of the lesser-known teams outside the Top 25. Case in point: Sunday’s 80-74 win by Boston College over then-No. 5 Duke (-7.5). Or even more amazing, the Eagles’ 85-78 defeat of then-No. 1 North Carolina (-23) back on Jan. 4 – in Chapel Hill, no less.
