The Indiana Hoosiers basketball team has taken another giant leap toward greatness this year, as they’ve been named the No. 1 team in the country in the preseason AP and USA Today Polls. The team hasn’t been ranked first overall since 1979, but fifth-year head coach Tom Crean has been remarkable for the recovery of a program struggling to match up to its renowned tradition.
I think I always like the Gators a little more than I should. Last year I loved their deep backcourt and they rode it to a second place finish in the SEC and some tournament success.
Kansas is always good it seems. Last year there was some concern because of all the players they lost but they won yet another Big 12 title and collected more than 30 victories once again.
The Memphis Tigers are clearly the class of Conference USA. They are blessed with quite a bit of talent and for the first time in years some experience too as they will likely start a senior, 3 juniors and a sophomore.
