NCAAF: OSU FIGHTS FOR REDEMPTION
Ohio State took a big hit to their reputation with a blowout loss at USC in Week 3, but they’ll look to prove they’re the Big Ten’s best at Wisconsin on Saturday night.
Ohio State took a big hit to their reputation with a blowout loss at USC in Week 3, but they’ll look to prove they’re the Big Ten’s best at Wisconsin on Saturday night.
It’s the Big Ten opener for both Illinois and Penn State as the Illini travel to Happy Valley to take on the Nittany Lions. Without a doubt, there is a buzz about this Penn State team. With the Ohio State Buckeyes suddenly beatable and Michigan rebuilding, the Nittany Lions are the favorites to win the Big Ten.
LSU and Auburn is one heck of a way to start the SEC West race, with the two favorites meeting in their first conference game.
Wake Forest has beaten Florida State in back-to-back years for the first time in series history. Can the make it three years in a row?
Tennessee rebounded from a stunning loss to UCLA, taking down overmatched UAB 35-3 in home opener. Quarterback Jonathan Crompton was much more comfortable under center in his second start, though consideration must be given to the Florida front four, who might be just a tiny bit better than the Blazers.
LSU vs. Auburn. Does it get any better than this for college football betting fans? The LSU Fighting Tigers, fresh off of last season’s BCS Championship, have been doing what comes naturally to them – – winning games and lining the pockets of BetUS Sportsbook fans with online wagering profits.
The Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers battle it out in Tennessee in what already has the makings of a serious SEC clash. The online betting odds are clearly in favor of the Gators who some college football betting fans predict as the only team capable of giving the mighty USC Trojans a run for their money.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Player of the Week honors go to BYU QB Max Hall, who threw for 271 yards and a school-record seven TDs against a hapless UCLA defense.
Sixth-ranked LSU is a field goal favorite at #10 Auburn in a battle of the Tigers on Saturday night.

The Sprint Cup boys move to Bristol this Saturday night for the 24th race of the season. Bristol Motor Speedway is a .533 mile Short Track located in Bristol, Tennessee. Here are my Top 5 drivers to win in Bristol this weekend. We still have to wait for Qualifying and Happy Hour before finalizing our Head to Head matchups. Bristol is normally a very good money track for us!! Now 26-18 59% the past 16 weeks with our Head to Head Nascar matchups. We did cash our #1 Driver to win last week with Carl Edwards!
For starters, I think Jeff Gordon has the best shot of winning this race. Gordon has 5 wins, 12 Top 5 finishes and 18 Top 10 finishes in his 31 starts here in Bristol. Gordon has an average finish of 11.7 here in Bristol which is the 4th best average finish among all drivers. Past 2 years, Jeff Gordon’s average finish at track type – SHORT TRACK is 6.3. In 9 races, he has 0 wins and 7 top 10 finishes.
Next in line I would go with Kurt Busch. Kurt Busch has five wins, 5 Top 5 finishes and 9 Top 10 finishes in 15 starts here in Bristol. Busch has an average finish of 14.3 here in Bristol.

The Boston Red Sox will debut the newest member of their starting rotation when they play host to the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night. Here’s your Daily Sports Roundup . . .
Event of the day . . .
An injury to Tim Wakefield left a hole in Boston’s rotation – and they’re hoping that Paul Byrd can plug it through the end of the season. The righthander was picked up from the Indians in a deal on Tuesday afternoon, and he’s going to take Clay Buchholz’s start at Fenway Park on Friday. Buchholz, though, will probably remain in the rotation, since the team’s Charlie Zink experiment didn’t turn out well in that slugfest on Tuesday night.
Byrd (7-10, 4.53 ERA) had earned the victory in each of his last four starts as a member of the Indians, giving up just four earned runs over 29 innings of work in that span. As well, Byrd’s last outing actually came against Toronto on August 9, and he surrendered only two earned runs on six hits over a full nine innings in that game. Byrd hasn’t given up a home run since July 4 in a loss to the Twins.
