Lots of change for Louisville this season as they enter the ACC and welcome back Bobby Petrino as coach. Under former coach Charlie Strong the Cardinals were beasts of the Big East but last year they fell short in their bid to capture an AAC title.
Everyone is expecting the Louisville Cardinals to exit Big East (I had to) on top. They were the best team a year ago and have the best quarterback, coach and roster top to bottom. Everything seems to pointing their way except for the fact that other programs may be highly motivated to beat them given the circumstances.
Heading into the 2011 season, no one expected much of anything from the Louisville Cardinals. Louisville finished with 5-2 record, which tied for the best mark in the Big East.
It has been a quiet postseason party scene in Louisville, Kentucky since 2006, when the Cardinals played Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl, and nearly appeared in the national title game.
