This time around we close-out our preview of the AFC with a look at the division title odds for all four teams in the AFC East.
The Dolphins (3-3) and Jets (3-4) have some bad blood between them after their week 3 game where All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis was lost for the season with a knee injury and Reggie Bush was taken off the field after a vicious hit.

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets Preview
The Jets won that game in OT and they are looking for their first season sweep of Miami since the 2007 season.
Each team needs a win to keep pace with the Patriots, who are in first place in the AFC East and are favorites this week facing the Rams in London. NFL lines have the Jets as 2-point home favorites with a total of 40.5.
In their last games the Dolphins beat the St. Louis Rams 17-14 while the Jets lost to the New England Patriots 29-26 in OT.
The Dolphins have gotten back in the playoff picture with 2 straight wins while the Jets have lost 2 of their last 3 games.
On the season the Dolphins are 3-3 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 3-3 and the Jets are 5-2 ATS with an Over/Under record of 4-3.
Ryan Tannehill does not have the best WR corps, but unlike early in the season he is not making mistakes and he has not been picked off in his last 2 games. He has connected on 66.7% of his passes for 839 yards in his last 3 games, but he will be facing a legit New York pass defense that ranks 9th in the league.
Bush is the leading rusher for the Dolphins, but even though the Dolphins have won their last 2 games he has failed to average over 2.5 yards per carry in either of those games. However, there is a chance he will get back on track in this game since the Jets’ run defense has really struggled this season and ranks 30th in the league. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
Mark Sanchez passed for 323 yards past week with 1 TD and 1 INT and the only other time he passed for over 300 yard this season was the earlier game facing the Dolphins. However, he was picked off twice in that game. His WR corps is banged up, but Jeremy Kerley has been playing well. While Miami only ranks 28th in pass D they have a good pass rush and pressuring Sanchez in the pocket will be key for them in this game.
The Dolphins run defense has been great this season, ranking 3rd in the league, and Jets’ RB Shonn Greene left the Patriots game with a head injury, but he should go in this game. Still, he has averaged over 4 yards per carry this season in only 1 game and that was facing a weak run defense of the Colts.
In some betting trends for this AFC East match up the Dolphins are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss, and they have an Under record of 14-6-1 in their last 21 games.
The Jets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss, and they have an Over record of 5-1 in their last 6 vs. AFC East.
Jason’s Pick: The Jets played pretty good in their OT loss to the Patriots last week and at home they will play well again, especially on defense and they will win and cover.
There is a good chance they could get back on track in this game facing the Jets (2-1), who are at home, but lost their defensive leader in CB Darrelle Revis in their last game. NFL lines have the 49ers as 4-point road favorites with a total of 41.5.
The Dolphins got their first win of the season last week and while they have a solid rushing offense and defense the same cannot be said about their passing offense and defense.
The Jets have not had a good off-season and their preseason was not much better averaging only 8.5 points in their preseason games. The Bills had a great start to last season before flaming out in the 2nd half and they have high hopes coming into this season.
The Patriots are, once again, the big favorites to win the AFC East and while the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills have the talent to, maybe, make the playoffs unseating the Pats as division champs is very unlikely.
