The Huskies did not win the AAC tournament but they have to be pleased with the fact that they were not embarrassed by Louisville again.
Louisville’s Russ Smith and Connecticut’s Shabazz Napier have had plenty of glorified moments in their collegiate careers; Saturday presents a chance for one of them to put an exclamation point on their senior seasons as the two of conference’s elite guards get an opportunity to go head-to-head.
Both of these teams are into the tournament so this is just a game to determine seeding and to answer which team has the better group of guards. Memphis may have the Huskies in terms of depth but on talent you might want to go with Connecticut.
NIU is 15-15 ATS with an O/U record of 14-15 and Bowling Green is 16-11-1 ATS with an O/U record of 13-14. In their last games Northern Illinois beat Ball State 70-56 and Bowling Green lost to Buffalo 88-65.

ESPN said it perfectly when they wrote that the Washington Huskies and the Oregon State Beavers would be playing in the “Frustrated Bowl” in their Week 13 matchup. Despite looking so promising at one point in the year, the season has turned the wrong direction for both programs.
The Toledo Rockets may not be ranked, but they are winning games and are within a game of sharing the MAC West crown with a win over their visiting rivals, No. 15 Northern Illinois on Wednesday night.
The Washington Huskies and the UCLA Bruins will face off in the rare Friday night game this week—a game that will be nationally televised on ESPN 2. The Huskies are 6-3, and they’re coming off of two straight wins following three straight losses.
Northern Illinois will look to extend the nation’s longest home winning streak, having won 24 in a row at Huskie Stadium, when they host the Ball State Owls on Wednesday night in DeKalb.
Louisville has fallen pretty far off the national radar since losing to UCF a few weeks back. This week they travel to a winless UConn team – yes I was surprised by that too as this is usually a middle of the pack program.
