Here are my Top 5 drivers to win in Bristol this weekend. We still have to wait for Qualifying and Happy Hour before finalizing our Head to Head matchups. Bristol is normally a very good money track for us!! Now 26-18 59% the past 16 weeks with our Head to Head Nascar matchups. We did cash our #1 Driver to win last week with Carl Edwards!

For starters, I think Jeff Gordon has the best shot of winning this race. Gordon has 5 wins, 12 Top 5 finishes and 18 Top 10 finishes in his 31 starts here in Bristol. Gordon has an average finish of 11.7 here in Bristol which is the 4th best average finish among all drivers. Past 2 years, Jeff Gordon’s average finish at track type – SHORT TRACK is 6.3. In 9 races, he has 0 wins and 7 top 10 finishes.

Next in line I would go with Kurt Busch. Kurt Busch has five wins, 5 Top 5 finishes and 9 Top 10 finishes in 15 starts here in Bristol. Busch has an average finish of 14.3 here in Bristol.

Georgia Gambling Odds – NCAAF

NCAAF: Georgia lacks title value

The Georgia Bulldogs are the AP’s number one team and 5:1 odds to win the national title, but is that a good value?

USC is the top betting choice to be national champs at 7:2, with Ohio State second at 4:1. Oklahoma is also 5:1.

Georgia coach Mark Richt’s returns 17 starters from arguably the best team in the country at the end of last season, and they are also riding a seven-game winning streak. Talent wise, the Bulldogs can easily lineup with any team even after losing offensive tackle Trinton Sturdivant for the season.

However, the Georgia schedule is extremely brutal this year and others are paying attention. Las Vegas Sports Consultants has Georgia ranked 7th, overall, as they base their rankings on where they think a team will finish the season.

Georgia’s first tough game is September 13th at #26 South Carolina. South Carolina handed Georgia one of its two losses last season, 16-12 in Athens as three-point underdogs. The Gamecocks have their best team since coach Steve Spurrier arrived in Columbia and he welcomes back 10 starters on defense. Also, five of the last seven meetings between these teams have been decided by six or less points.

The Dogs Are Out, By Big Al McMordie

It’s not your imagination: The Dogs have been barking loudly this NFL preseason. In Week 1 the dogs were 9-5-2 against the number, which is not unusual with the first look at all the teams. But Week 2 was even more extreme, with the underdogs going 11-4 ATS (with one game lined at PK’em).

Two of the biggest surprises were the Raiders and Dolphins covering (though not to me, as I had Miami as a big play). Oakland had to travel 3,000 miles to play at Tennessee and play the Titans, who have done well in the preseason under Jeff Fisher. Don’t be fooled by the Raiders rolling up 380 yards, as most of it was on the ground (224 yards). One plus is that young quarterback JaMarcus Russell’s mobility allowed him to use his feet to escape trouble and allow his receivers to break their routes to come back to the ball. That’s a plus in preseason against second stringers, but could be less so in the regular season against onrushing NFL linemen.
