The Detroit Tigers find themselves in first place in the American League Central heading into this one, but just barely after losing the final game of their series against the Houston Astros. Now they travel to Texas to take on the division leading Rangers.
Detroit is sitting at the top of a bunchy American League Central right now.
They won the opener of their series against Seattle last night pushing their road record to over .500 for the season.
The Tigers came close last year, making it all the way to the World Series before running into a Giants team that wouldn’t be denied.
The San Francisco Giants have absolutely dominated the first three games of the World Series. They’ll look to finish off the sweep in Detroit Sunday night.
The Giants got off to slow starts in the NLDS and NLCS, but they have jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the World Series. Detroit has only put up three runs in the first two games. The Giants pitching staff has starred so far in this series.

Both the Angels and the Tigers are coming off a win and are in 2nd place in their respective divisions and if the season ended today the Angels would be the team in the AL that would snag the Wild Card berth.
