Chiefs Get the Angry Steelers at Arrowhead
The Bengals-Steelers game didn’t exactly go as I’d thought it would, but I think a lot of that has to do with underestimating the Bengals rather than overestimating the Steelers. This is still a very complete football team, and even without Troy Polamalu, the fact remains that Big Ben has to come out firing to restore the football betting faith of his handicapping investors. That’s why a game on the road against KC might be a cure-all for whatever ails the Steelers right now.
The Chiefs struck gold in Chris Chambers while shedding the dead weight of Larry Johnson last week. Johnson, who cleared waivers and will wait till someone is dumb enough to sign him, was jettisoned due to his anti-gay remarks and overall baggage. In all honest, I’m sure the Chiefs have been looking a way to get rid of Mr. Can’t Get In The Endzone all season, and this just gave them reason. The Chiefs have been stalwart upset specialists on the football betting line against Oakland with a 5-0 ATS record when visiting the bay area.
Kansas vs. Washington in Most Unwatchable Game of the Week
Oh good grief. I thought last week’s schedule was bad, but I had no idea the freaking Chiefs would be playing the damn Redskins this weekend! The Week 6 NFL betting ugly blemish will pit the winless Matt Cassel crusade against the Jason Campbell letdown experience. Awesome stuff. Might as well throw some money just so you care a little.
Something has to be said for the coaching staff in New York. The talent is certainly above average, but the coaching staff has been able to dissect teams with disgusting precision. While going 16-2 ATS in their last 18 games on the road, the Giants have kicked off the season by wearing down the Redskins, picking Tony Romo three times in a 33-31 win, and shutout the Bucs who were previously the fourth best offense in terms of moving the chains. That’s why I’m not scared of a big spread facing them on the road in Arrowhead.
