Week 13 CFB Power Rankings

College Football Rankings Week 13

The top 7 teams in the Bowl Championship Series standings were unchanged from last week, with Florida, Alabama and Texas still in control of the national championship race. With 4th-place TCU a victory away from securing an automatic BCS bid and the loser of Florida-Alabama essentially a lock to be selected, only two at-large berths would remain. To be eligible for an at-large BCS bid, a team must finish 14th or better in the final standings, which are released Dec. 6.

Week 6 CFB Power Rankings

NCAA Power Rankings – Iowa Takes Down Penn State and Miami Gets Put in its Place

The big winner this past Saturday was the Miami Hurricanes as they beat the Oklahoma Sooners at home. The victory assured that Miami’s loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies two weeks ago was an anomaly and not the norm.

The loss for Oklahoma all but ended their chances at making it to the BCS Championship. It doesn’t matter now if the Sooners beat Texas in the Red River Shoot-out or if they win the Big 12 Championship. Two losses aren’t going to cut it.

Not many people believed that the Miami Hurricanes were as good as their record indicated. Nobody that is except, well, Miami Hurricane fans. As often is the case in college football betting, the gamblers were right, for the most part, when the Miami Hurricanes finally came down to earth this past Saturday. They were thumped by the more talented Virginia Tech Hokies.

Week 4 CFB Power Rankings

College Football Week 4 Rankings – Top 25 Teams in the Country

The USC Trojans aren’t supposed to lose to unranked teams yet that is what they have done three years in a row. Three years ago, they were throttled by Stanford as 40 + point favorites ATS at home.

Two years ago, they were beat by Oregon State on the road as 20 + point favorites. This past Saturday it happened again as Washington, unranked as a +20 ½ point favorite, upset the might 2nd ranked USC Trojans to all but end the Trojans’ hopes for a shot at the BCS Championship.

The interesting thing is that the quarterback hyped to no end in the game, Terrelle Pryor, couldn’t step it up enough to bring Ohio Sate the victory while the team led by the true freshman, USC, did enough to win.
