Thursday was the first day for conference tournament action from the biggest conferences in the NCAA. There were some interesting results from those games, but they were not as surprising as you might think. Let’s take a look at how we can use these outcomes to help predict what will happen in the NCAA tournament, when it matters the most.
Get your dancing shoes out. With just 3 weeks remaining in the regular season portion of the 2008-09 college basketball campaign talk of the NCAA Tournament becomes more and more a matter of serious discussion.
The defending national champion Kansas Jayhawks (17-4 SU, 10-5 ATS, 8-7 O/U) have won six consecutive games since falling to Michigan State back on Jan. 10, covering the spread in every contest except one. The Baylor Bears (15-6 SU, 6-7 ATS, 8-5 O/U) got their 2008-09 campaign off to a fantastic start but are mired in the midst of a poor three-game losing streak.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders (10-1 SU, 5-3-1 ATS) will attempt to bounce back from their shameful loss last Saturday when they take the field against the Baylor Bears (4-7 SU, 7-3 ATS) in NCAA college football sports betting action that is set to begin at 3:30 PM ET at Jones AT&T Stadium (artificial turf) in Lubbock, TX.
The Connecticut Huskies, (3-0 SU, 1-1 ATS, 1-1 O/U) shook off a poor Week Two performance against the Temple Owls on Sep. 6 very nicely on Saturday, pounding the Virginia Cavaliers 45-10 at home.
