After their long losing streak came to an end the Red Sox rattled off 7 wins in a row but since then have been up and down.
The Orioles will aim to sweep their series against the Texas Rangers when they close out a three-game set in Arlington on Thursday night.
These two ballclubs sit with virtually identical records – both hovering around .500 – but the O’s are currently at the top of the American League East division in what has been a weird year thus far for the perennial powerhouse… all the usually sound teams seemingly can’t stop losing.
The Toronto Blue Jays host the Baltimore Orioles in game three of a three-game set on Thursday night. The teams were caught in a slugfest on Wednesday night, with the Orioles overcoming a 6-1 deficit to gut out a 10-8 win, setting up Thursday’s rubber match.
The Baltimore Orioles will make the trip north of the border to the Rogers Centre where they will take on the Toronto Blue Jays. The teams will open a three-game set on Tuesday night. Toronto returns home after a 10-game road trip, while the Orioles make the trip after splitting a four-game series in Boston.
The Toronto Blue Jays will head down to Maryland to begin a three-game set with the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. The Tampa Rays are looking to catch the Orioles this weekend and are off to a good start with a rare barn burner win over them on Friday night 12-10.
The falloff that everyone was expecting from Baltimore hasn’t happened…yet. Right now they are being sustained by a fantastic start from slugging first baseman Chris Davis, who is in the top 3 in the Majors in homers, RBI and average.
