Cappers Picks details the game props you can bet on during super bowl XLVI. The team or a certain play with each bet having varied odds and others that are pretty much even. Some of the examples of game props with various odds are what will be the First scoring play of the game prop, Total Points Scored by Both Teams props, Which Will be the Highest Scoring Quarter, and How many yards will the first Touchdown of the game be props.

Sportsbook Superbowl Prop Bets

The Super Bowl is not only the biggest American sporting event, but it is also the biggest betting event. This season the Giants face the Patriots in a rematch of a few seasons back when the G-Men ruined the Pats and their perfect record upsetting them in the Big Game.

This season the Pats are, once again, favored to win the Super Bowl this time around by 3 points with a total of 55.

The spread is the most popular Super Bowl bet, but there are tons of others in the form of proposition bets. There are 3 main types of prop bets available, which are game props, player props, and special props.

Game Props

In the game props you can bet on the team or a certain play with each bet having varied odds and others that are pretty much even. Some of the examples of game props with various odds are what will be the First scoring play of the game, Total Points Scored by Both Teams, Which Will be the Highest Scoring Quarter, and How many yards will the first Touchdown of the game be just to name a few. These bets have various odds with the unlikeliest scenario having long shot odds. For example in the first scoring play of the game a safety has long shot odds. Shocker.

There are also 50/50 bets with only 2 choices and some have different odds while some are even. A few of these kind of game props are Team to enter the Red Zone first in the game, Team to get the first 1st down of the game, Team to Receive the Opening Kick Off, and Will the Super Bowl be decided by exactly 3 points? There are many of these kinds of game props.[soliloquy id=”82219″]

Player Props

The player props are much like the game props, but rather than betting on a team or game scenario you are betting on the players in the game. Also, much like the game props some bets will have even odds with others having varied odds. There are TONS of these types of odds and many are player match ups with even odds and a few of these kinds of wagers are Most Passing Yards – Tom Brady or Eli Manning, Most Receiving Yards – Deion Branch (Patriots) or Ahmad Bradshaw (Giants), and Most Rushing Yards – Ahmad Bradshaw (Giants) or Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis (Patriots). There are also player props with varied odds such as Most Interceptions Tom Brady (1.95) or Eli Manning (1.80) and Eli Manning – Will He Throw an Interception? Yes (1.63) No (2.30).

Other player props include that have varied odds are Jason Pierre-Paul – Will he record a sack, Antrel Rolle – Total Solo + Assisted Tackles Over/Under 6, and Lawrence Tynes – Total Points – Over/Under 9.5 points. There are also many even odds O/U bets for players as well as varied odds on such bets, as which player will score the first TD and Tom Brady total passing yards to just name a couple.

Special Props

One of the cool things about the Super Bowl is that there are many special props and many of them do not have to deal with the game itself. Some of these types of prop bets are How long will it take Kelly Clarkson to sing the Star Spangled Banner, What color will the Gatorade be that is dumped on the Head Coach of the Winning Team, Who will the Super Bowl MVP of the Game thank first, and the ever popular which team will win the coin toss?

As you can see you can bet on pretty much anything having to do with the game. They even have a bet where you can wager some green on Which Super Bowl Commercial Will Have a Higher Rating on USA Today’s Annual Ad Meter? Seriously? No matter what you want to wager on you can do so for the Super Bowl. Gotta love it.
