Super Bowl 49 MVP Prop Odds – Our HIGH Value Players:

Russell Wilson: 7/2

Of the two quarterbacks, Brady is listed as an 8/5 favorite. There is simply nothing there as far as value is concerned.

A quarterback had won 4 straight MVPs up until last year. Wilson at 7/2 has some value because the Seahawks will need Wilson to beat New England with his arm. The Patriots will stack the box and force Wilson to throw the ball down field.

The cons to taking Wilson is that the Seahawks have numerous candidates who can take the game over. Best case scenario for this bet, is Wilson gets the ball with limited time left and leads the Seahawks down the field to a flawless game winning touchdown drive.

Rob Gronkowski: 9/1

As far as the Patriots are concerned, they won’t win unless Gronk has a big game. He’s Brady’s number one target, especially in the red zone.

With a deep and tough Seattle secondary, lining up Gronk in the slot will give him the best shot at getting the ball. If he can gather a couple touchdown passes to go along with a 100+ yard performance, he would be a definite candidate to take the trophy.

Julian Edelman: 25/1

Throwing down on Edelman isn’t such a bad idea.

First off, the Patriots have utilized Edelman to a lot in their offense. Brady has main him a prime target, especially for over the top balls.

Edelman also was part of a trick play against Baltimore and threw for a touchdown pass.

If the Seahawks keep a close eye on Gronk, expect Edelman to get many targets throughout the game.

Also, with an Edelman bet, you get him on punt returns. Only good can come from that as he has the potential to boost his MVP resume with a return for a touchdown.

The Winner:

Marshawn Lynch: 4/1

He’s the reason the Seahawks are here. He essentially took over the NFC Championship game and rumbled his way all over Green Bay.

He’s going to get a ton of carries as Seattle will look to control the clock and keep Tom Brady off the field. He could easily go for big chunks of yards and wear down the Patriots defense.

Seattle won’t win if Lynch doesn’t go for a big game. They needed every bit of his 157 yard, 1 touchdown performance last time. If he comes anywhere close to that, he’s going to be the center of attention and grab the MVP trophy.

At 4/1 there is tons of value to place a wager on him.
