The Cards have easily won and covered their two home games over Miami and Buffalo, but Dallas has been just as successful on the road with wins and covers at Cleveland and Green Bay.

New Orleans is coming off a bad home loss to Minnesota, turning the ball over four times, but they are still solid 7 ½-point favorites over Oakland in the Superdome. This will be the first game for interim Raiders coach Tom Cable.

The Indianapolis Colts are 2-2 on the year, but they pulled both of their wins out of a hat against Minnesota and Houston. This week, they host a defensive minded Baltimore Ravens team and the Colts are giving just 4 ½-points.

The New York Jets are coming off a bye-week and are six-point home favorites over Cincinnati. The Jets look to continue their offensive momentum from the Arizona game two weeks ago, but the Bengals proved last week in Dallas they can play tough on the road.

Carolina is leading the NFC South at 4-1, but now they play at the division’s toughest home venue in Tampa Bay. The Bucs had a disappointing loss at Denver last week but they look to have some value as 1 ½-point chalk.

Detroit is winless this year and has lost their four games by an average margin of 20.3 points. That’s a big reason they’re getting 13 ½-points at Minnesota this week, even with the Vikings having a short week after MNF.

Both the Chicago Bears and the Atlanta Falcons have surprised the pundits by starting at 3-2. Atlanta is considered more of a fluke though with rookie quarterback Matt Ryan and that’s why they’re 2 ½-point home dogs against ‘Da Bears’.

Miami has won its last two games over New England and San Diego, two teams thought to be among the AFC elite. The Fish head to Houston as three-point dogs as the Texans look to make up for that debacle against Indy.

No one has had a harder schedule than Washington (4-1) this year with road games at division foes, Dallas, Philly and the New York Giants. This week they have an easy one as 13-point home chalk over the St. Louis Rams, but will they avoid an emotional letdown and be able to cover this large spread?

Denver beat Tampa last week 16-13, pushing the three-point spread. This week they host another physical team, Jacksonville. The Jaguars badly need an outright win at 2-3, but their backers will take the 3 ½-points just in case.

Green Bay has taken a hit to their reputation with three consecutive losses. They go to Seattle as 2 ½-point dogs with their quarterback Aaron Rodgers still banged up with a shoulder injury.

Philadelphia is giving five-points on the road at San Francisco after dropping two close games. The 49ers are improved this year but they didn’t look good in a home loss to New England last week.

Speaking of New England, they are getting six-points at San Diego on Sunday night. The Patriots have had their number in the playoffs over the last two seasons, so revenge is on the Chargers’ minds.

The Monday Night game has the undefeated Giants (-9) at Cleveland. The Giants may be the best team in the NFL, but this is a huge game for Cleveland for many reasons, and the crowd should be as vocal as any in recent memory.
