All eyes on Favre vs. Packers on MNF
Week 4 of the National Football league season features some great matchups, but none bigger than the showdown between the Brett Favre-led Minnesota Vikings and Favre’s old team, the Green Bay Packers, on Monday Night Football.
As if there isn’t already enough animosity between the NFC North rivals, Favre’s first game against the Packers is sure to result in fireworks Monday night at the Metrodome (8:35 pm ET, ESPN).

NFL Betting Odds at betED.com have the unbeaten Vikings as 3.5-point favorites and the over/under at 45.5.
Last week, the Packers (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) defeated the St. Louis Rams 36-17 as a 6.5-point favorite, with the score flying over the total of 43.
Aaron Rodgers passed for 269 yards with two touchdown passes and a TD run for Green Bay and Donald Driver caught four passes for 95 yards with a touchdown.
The Vikings (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) beat the San Francisco 49ers 27-24 as a 7-point home favorite in Week 3. The score went over the total of 39.5. Brett Favre passed for 301 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Minnesota, while Adrian Peterson rushed for 85 yards on 19 carries.
Green Bay has had the upper hand in recent meetings, going 5-1 SU and ATS in the past six meetings overall, and 5-1 ATS in the past six meetings in Minnesota.
The rivals last met on Nov. 9 last season, when the Vikings edged the Packers 28-27, failing to cover the 2.5-point home spread. The score went over the total of 44.5.
Over/under bettors should note that the total has gone over in seven of the past nine meetings in Minnesota.
On the injury front, Favre is nursing a foot injury and has seen limited practice time this week.
