Sportsbook Review: PinnacleSports.com

Shea Matthews weighs in with his Pinnacle Sportsbook review and promotional updates. He goes over the grades for various facets of the sportsbook. One of the 5 best sports betting sites online in the world!

Sportsbook Review: Pinnacle Sports

To me, Pinnacle Sports is the James Bond of sportsbooks. It’s a globetrotter, known to many as the place to go for international betting odds.

How does it stack up against other bigtime offshore books?

Offerings

Pinnacle is its own beast when it comes to offerings. It definitely isn’t a pretty book – and it knows it. Pinnacle is much more cut from the “bare bones” cloth. It eschews most of the fancy graphics for odds, odds and more odds. Pinnacle Sports Online Sports Betting

Pinnacle has some awesome lines. It takes care of the major North American staples like NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB but it really separates itself from the competition with its detailed international offerings. You can bet on multiple types of rugby, soccer, snooker, Formula 1, even beach volleyball.

The only curious omission is MMA, which is listed but has no lines (which makes no sense as there are plenty of fights on the docket this month).

Pinnacle really goes above and beyond the other books with its exotics. You can bet on politics, video game tournaments (gasp!) and even “muggle quidditch,” in which schools will recreate and compete in the fictional sport from the Harry Potter books.

Pinnacle has no horse betting options that I can find; and its casino and poker offerings are a little weak. I like the no-download trial mode but the actual gaming options are pretty limited. Still – Pinnacle deserves a high grade for its offerings as you won’t find better sports betting variety anywhere. It knows what it’s about and does it very well.

Grade: A

Ease of Use

As you’d expect, Pinnacle is a highly easy site to navigate because it took the bare-bones approach. Everything loads extremely quickly and is easy to find. The drop-down menus are intuitive and legible. The limited Flash graphics are non-invasive.

There isn’t much else to say. Pinnacle is quick as can be and quite a convenient site to bet on.

Grade: A+

Intangibles/Promos

Win More with Pinnacle Sports Pinnacle makes its name on providing excellent pricing on virtually all its sports. You can simply win more with a bet here than you can at most books.

It also charges no commission on winning bets.

The site’s deposit options are pretty straightforward, offering wire transfers, credit cards, cashier’s checks, and so on.

Payouts use the same methods and only give you one free withdrawal per calendar month.

Pinnacle really falls short in the bonus department. Does it even have any? For referrals or signups?

I sure as heck can’t find any.

Grade: C+

Overall

My first instinct was to close Pinnacle’s case and give it an A+. But that was because of my sports-betting mentality. For pure odds and variety of sports offerings, Pinnacle is tremendously appealing.

But it’s unfair to ignore the site’s flaws. Its casino offerings are rather limited, it doesn’t do horses and it doesn’t give much if anything back to its customers for playing.

Pinnacle knows what it is – a pure, bare-bones sportsbook – but it would be unstoppable if it followed suit with some of its competitors’ strengths.

It’s a great for sports but not so great if you like to dabble in other casino games and collect rewards.
