The Canucks rolled into Game 3 at TD Garden with a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, but the Bruins dominated both games at home to send the set back to Vancouver with the teams knotted at two games apiece.
Tim Thomas stopped 37 shots to earn the shutout in Boston’s 4-0 win over Vancouver in Game 4 on Wednesday night.
Rich Peverley scored two goals on the top line in place of the injured Nathan Horton (concussion) for the Bruins, who cashed as home favourites. The game played ‘under’ the 5-goal total set at Pinnacle Sports.

Once the floodgates opened, however, the Bruins were on their way to another moneyline victory after waxing the Canucks 8-1 in Game 3. Peverley scored on a breakaway late in the first period, and the rout was on.
The Bruins managed to chase Roberto Luongo from the net early in the third period on Peverley’s second goal, but bettors can expect him to be back between the pipes to start pivotal Game 5.
Vancouver desperately needs to get its power play going if it’s to turn the tide on Friday. The Canucks were the best league-wide with the man-advantage during the regular season, but they were 0 for 6 on Wednesday night and have tallied only one power play marker in the series.
Vancouver won each of the first two games of the series at Rogers Arena, but both contests were close affairs.
The Canucks cashed the Cup final opener 1-0 as home favourites, but the game was a stalemate for the first 59 minutes. Only with 14 seconds left on Raffi Torres’ late tally did Vancouver slip past Boston.
In Game 2, the Canucks needed overtime in a 3-2 victory. Alex Burrows scored the winner for the Canucks, who are 4-2 in overtime games in the playoffs.
