Sportsbook.com Week 3 NFL Preview

91% of Sportsbook.com bettors are backing the Broncos for Sunday’s game, also despite losing to Carolina last week, the Chicago Bears are getting a lot of looks, on the Sunday night game 79% of the money is siding with the Cowboys.

NFL: BETTORS LOVE BRONCOS OFFENSE

Bettors love what they’ve seen from the Denver Broncos offense and expect more of the same this weekend against New Orleans.

An overwhelming 91% of Sportsbook.com bettors are backing the Broncos for Sunday’s game and that has moved Denver from four-point favorites to 5.5-point favorites.

“It appears that the public has noticed a much improved Broncos team from a year ago,” said Sportsbook.com spokesman Dave Staley. “They are averaging 463 yards of offense and 40 points a game while the Saints team looks like it could be more like last year’s Saints than the Saints team of a couple of seasons ago.”

It’s important to note that the Broncos are just 6-16 against the spread (ATS) the last 22 times they entered as the favorite but the way they are putting up points, and playing a Saints’ team without its star wide receiver, bettors are obviously banking on the fact that the New Orleans offense won’t be able to keep pace.

Despite losing to Carolina last week, the Chicago Bears are getting a lot of looks at Sportsbook.com as well. After surprising the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, Chicago looked to be heading to 2-0 but Carolina scored 17 unanswered points in the last 20 minutes last Sunday to earn a 20-17 victory.

Chicago’s opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, beat the Atlanta Falcons last week but bettors aren’t impressed and are giving the Bucs just 6% of the action as a three-point underdog in this game.

“Chicago’s quarterback Kyle Orton gets praise for ‘managing the game’ but at some point, he is going to have to put the ball in the end zone if they are going to compete,” said Staley. “Personally, I’m a little surprised that 94% are on the Bears here.”

The other game attracting bets at Sportsbook.com is the Sunday night feature between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. Both teams are 2-0 after impressive Week 2 wins, with the Cowboys a road favorite at historic Lambeau Field.

That hasn’t scared bettors though. So far, 79% of the money is siding with the Cowboys.

“I’m shocked that so many members are backing the Cowboys as road favorites at Green Bay,” said Staley. “They were a botched Donovan McNabb handoff away from losing Monday night and their defense looked vulnerable.

“Now, they go to Lambeau Field on a short week to play a Packers team playing very good football, he added. “Yes, Green Bay squandered a huge lead in Detroit but after the ‘wakeup call’ they got back to business.

“Personally, I like the Packers as my Play of the Day.”
