NCAAF Week 7 Free Picks

The seventh week of the college football season brings the biggest conference games to date. Sportsbook.com brings you some Week 7 CFB free picks.

NCAAF: QUICK HITS

It wasn’t exactly the big bounce-back week he was hoping for but at 2-2 with his picks last weekend you won’t find Cras complaining too much.

Although it hasn’t been his best college season, there’s still time to turn around the 9-12-1 season.

Here are the picks he likes this week:

LSU Tigers @ Florida Gators

The Gators have covered seven of the last 10 games between these teams but it’s the underdog that is 5-1 in their last six. Even with redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee suiting up at quarterback to replace Andrew Hatch, who missed the last game to concussion, the majority of Sportsbook.com bettors like LSU in this game.

And, LSU Coach Les Miles obviously likes what he saw from Lee in his first career start two weeks ago against Mississippi State; he named Lee the starting QB this week, even with Hatch back at 100%. No matter the quarterback, you have to like the points in this game as three of the last four games have been decided by four points or less.

Pick: LSU +6

New Mexico Lobos @ #8 BYU Cougars

The Cougars are a perfect 2-0 against the spread (ATS) at home this season and have covered three of the last five games against the Lobos with a push as 25-point favorites two years ago.

Those figures have more than 90% of the money on this game backing BYU, a team with a 59-0 win over UCLA and 44-0 win over Wyoming in their last two home games. New Mexico downed Wyoming 24-0 as 10 ½-point favorites last weekend to cover their third spread in their last four games.

Although New Mexico has been a good ATS bet in recent weeks, I have to think that BYU continues their home dominance.

Pick: BYU -23.5

Arizona Wildcats @ Stanford Cardinal

The Stanford Cardinal have covered five of their last seven against Arizona and are a perfect 2-0 ATS in their only two home games this year. Despite that, only 5% of Sportsbook.com bettors like the Cardinal in this game.

Wildcats backers obviously like the fact that their team is 4-1 ATS. Their only loss this season was a 36-28 defeat at New Mexico as 10-point favorites. Impressive indeed, but still not enough to get me to take anything but the points in this game.

Pick: Stanford +7

Western Michigan Mustangs @ Buffalo Bulls

The Buffalo Bulls are a money-making 4-1 ATS, winning their only two home games straight up and ATS. The Bulls last game, a 27-25 loss to Central Michigan as seven-point dogs, was two weeks ago so they’ve had plenty of time to prepare for this game.

Western Michigan is 5-1 straight up on the season but just 2-3 ATS. They did manage a 41-20 win over Ohio last week but I’m betting on the Bulls to drop them to 5-2.

Pick: Buffalo -1
