Bookmaker.com is currently being stolen from the owners of Bookmaker by the US Department of Justice, however they have re-launched the site at the URL Bmaker.AG. Same site, same software, same owners, same odds, business as usual.

Offerings

USA Player Friendly!

While Bookmaker’s offerings aren’t complete, they’re at least unique. On the sportsbook side, they offer some cool frills, such as the most popular bets of the day and last-minute live lines.

They also go deeper into one of the fastest-growing sports, MMA, than most books do, offering early lines big fights as far away as December.

Bookmaker gets it done in terms of the traditional offerings for each major sport – money lines for hockey, money and runs lines for baseball, spreads and over/under for football, and so on. But it doesn’t go the extra mile. It offers virtually no futures betting options at all and no exotics. Or does it?

Bookmaker has plenty of articles about political and entertainment props – but they don’t seem to be present anywhere in the book. Even if I’m wrong about that, it’s a problem that I looked at for 15 minutes and couldn’t find the mysterious props.

Bookmaker’s range of sports offerings is solid, with a few interesting additions like Aussie Rules and Arena League Football.

Bookmark does offer some useful sports news and articles about upcoming games across many sports, plus highly current video breakdowns of betting matchups.

It also covers the standard ground with its race book and poker room – though some players won’t like that they have to download the poker application rather than just running it.

One area where Bookmaker really stands out: its mobile offerings. It’s among the first major books to take its site mobile. Given how immediately everything happens in sports betting and how quickly bettors need information, a mobile version of Bookmaker is a massive plus.

Bookmaker’s offerings aren’t totally complete. To me, it’s better suited to a novice who wants to bet on the essentials instead of obscure things like futures.

But its unique frills are definite redeemers.

Ease of Use

I have to be honest: Bookmaker isn’t the easiest book to navigate. It looks pretty enough and its flash engine is full of useful information. But the site’s load time is a bit slow. I also find that there are so many different links and headers that it’s hard to find your way back to the main sportsbook page once you’re in deeply.

When you find the actual betting engines, the lines are crisp and easy to follow. So my take is that, once you get used to Bookmaker, it’s probably fairly easy to use.

It’s just the learning your way around that’s a problem.

Bookmaker does a nice job with its promos. It has excellent variety in that regard, offering various bonuses for signing up or depositing. For example, you can get a 25 per cent bonus for your first deposit, a 15 per cent signup bonus, and more.

Bookmaker also features special daily promos and, my personal fave, free contests. That includes free Blackjack tournament entries on a $100-plus deposit. Great stuff.

Bookmaker’s rewards program is a pretty cool feature, too. You can do lots of different things with your money, including getting straight cash back with no charge, gift cards and even frequent flyer miles.

Bookmaker claims that its cash rewards are processed “immediately” but its other rewards, such as merchandise, may take weeks at a time. Overall, though, Bookmaker does well with its promos.

Grade: A

Overall

Bookmaker has plenty going for it. It keeps things simple in the sports betting department, which is good for new players; it’s very creative with its reward system and its mobile offerings.

That said, while the site’s actual content is pretty good, it could use a facelift. It’s tough to navigate, a bit cluttered, and certain lines that it claims to offer don’t seem to be available.
