The Dallas Mavericks visit the Houston Rockets in a Texas showdown on Friday at the Toyota Center.

The Mavericks scored 40 points in the third quarter to pace a 113-98 win over the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday. The Mavericks covered the 8-point spread and the score went over the total of 199.5.

The Nets fell to Houston the previous night, as Yao Ming scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Rockets to a 114-88 win Tuesday. Houston cashed as 6.5-point home favorites and the score went over the 194-point total.

The Lakers came back for a 129-121 win against division-rival Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. The Lakers covered the 5-point road spread and the score went over the total of 228.5.

The total has gone over in six of the past seven meetings in Los Angeles, but under in five of the past six meetings overall. New Orleans is 4-1 ATS in the past five meetings in LA.
