NFL news: Kenny Britt arrested again
Kenny Britt was arrested yet again on Wednesday. On the same day that he already got a fine and points deducted from his license, he was booked Wednesday night by New Jersey narcotics officers and charged with two counts for arresting arrest.
He pushed away from officers and tried to refuse handcuffs. He was charged with minor disorderly persons offense and a third-degree crime.
Joe Theismann defends Jay Cutler
In other NFL News Joe Theismann has stepped up to defend oft-criticized Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. The retired quarterback suggested that Cutler’s detractors need to understand his way of life.
“What you’re basically asking Jay to do is change his personality,” Theismann told the Chicago Tribune. “I think the fans have to understand that Jay is not an outspoken individual. He is a very quiet, reserved-demeanor individual.”
“At least you know he’s not a phoney,” Theismann added. “There’s no false pretense about Jay, where he is going to go out there and try to be a rah-rah guy.”
Jordan Palmer calls brother “former teammate”
Are the Cincinnati Bengals really still hell-bent on retaining Carson Palmer’s quarterback services? His brother, Jordan, thinks he’s as good as gone.
“I’m separating myself from what Carson is doing,” Jordan said Thursday. “He’s my brother, but he’s a former teammate going a different route and I’m focusing on what is in front of me.”
