NBA news: Rubio Staying Overseas after all?

Could Ricky Rubio stick it to the Minnesota Timberwolves again? The 20-year-old guard just won the Euro league championship with Barcelona last night and said after the game that “We are taking with Barcelona and we will soon see.”

He was supposed to come overseas to join the NBA after this season but his future looks unclear now.

Ricky Rubio staying overseas?

Some reports last month suggested Rubio had already agreed to a contract with the T-Wolves but they denied it.

Erik Spoelstra to remain Heat coach

Erik Spoelstra had his ups and downs this season but it appears he’ll keep his job as Miami Heat head coach next year. He’s gone 148-99 with three playoff appearances in three seasons with the team. Reports out of Miami suggest that, internally, his job security was never an issue this season.

Robert Horry’s daughter dies

LeBron backtracks on post-loss comments

LeBron James backpedalled yesterday after he said following the Miami Heat’s NBA Finals loss that his critics “have to be back to the real world.” He explained on Tuesday:

“I wasn’t saying I’m superior or better than anyone else, any man or woman on this planet. I’m not. I would never ever look at myself bigger than anyone who watched our game. It may have come off wrong but that wasn’t my intent. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

“Basically I was saying at the end of the day this season is over and – with all hatred – everyone else has to move on with their lives, good or bad. I do too.”
