The MLS All-Stars will have home field advantage, however, 2010 English Premier League Champions Manchester United are the more cohesive side and should be the team favored when the betting odds are released on Wednesday.

The Red Devils have taken the US soccer front by storm on its recent World Football Challenge Tour, scoring a 4-1 win against the New England Revolution and a 3-1 win against the Chicago Fire.

After being held scoreless in Man U’s first US exhibition match, Rooney broke into the goal scoring column against the Fire for the first time, but the rest of the squad is in on the act as well.

Nani and Rafael da Silva both found the back of the net against the boys from the Windy City, while Michael Owen and the newly resigned Park Ji-Sung scored against the Revolution, while Federico Macheda is the only man to score twice.

Meanwhile, the starting XII for MLS will feature players from at least eight different teams in the league. [ad-3678122]

That in itself creates an interesting mix, but also presents an challenge for a side that hasn’t played much together as a squad.

While the All-Stars will be without injured LA Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan, a player who is used to going against this caliber of players, they will have the top two players in the race for the Budweiser MLS Golden Boot, and two of the top three in assists when the sides hit the pitch on Wednesday night.

The biggest name of the bunch is Henry, who is making his first appearance in an All-Star Game for the MLS side, and leads the league with 10 goals.

He will be joined by Brek Shea of FC Dallas (9 goals), along with Brad Davis of the Houston Dynamo who leads MLS with nine assists, and Los Angeles’ David Beckham, who’s tied with Davide Chiumiento of the Vancouver Whitecaps with eight.

Henry, who was a rival to Man U during his time with Arsenal, is going to be a huge part of this match, especially since he is playing with the hometown Red Bulls. Beckham will also play a role as a master set piece playmaker.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Manchester United

Manchester United is definitely the better squad, and though the MLS All-Stars will certainly be able to put on a show, it isn’t going to be enough to take care of what should be another domination performance by the Red Devils.
