Well, this one may not look like much on paper. It looks like another sure Man U blowout right? The EPL betting lines sure make it look that way. That may very well be the case, but bettors cannot afford to overlook this Stoke side.

I think a lot of people are going to look at last week’s 4-0 drubbing against Sunderland and think this is easy money, but I’m not sure that’s a smart way to go about this fixture.
Of course, that match was away from home, and as many people can attest to, they are a completely different side in Stoke.
For those looking for an example, look no further than their first fixture of this season. They welcomed Chelsea into Britannia and managed to keep them off the score sheet. For anyone that has watched Chelsea this season, we all know just how difficult that is to do.
Yes, they failed to score as well, but we can overlook that fact solely on the premise that Manchester United isn’t exactly rock solid on the back line.
Another example of just how challenging it is to go into Stoke, and come away unscathed, is Liverpool’s recent visit. Not only did the Reds not get full points, they failed to secure even one.

In the meantime, the Red Devils are back at it. This team is just flat out loaded with talent and haven’t missed a beat even after throwing in a jolt of youth into this side.
An absolutely in form Wayne Rooney is scoring at will it seems, and the side is currently 5-0-0 with a +17 goal differential. To add in with all of this, four of the five matches have been won by more than one goal. The lone exception being the first fixture of the season in West Brom.
With all that aside, a key factor here is a Red Devils roster that is littered with injury. They have three key players that get regular touches that are doubtful to make the starting XII in this one. Defender Eafael Pereira Da Silva, midfielder Thomas Cleverley, and forward Danny Welbeck.
When fit, all three have proven to be regulars on the pitch. Don’t underestimate these losses.
Matt’s Prediction: Manchester United 2, Stoke City 1 -So while the English Premier League odds may be in favor of the Red Devils here. Take a step back and look closer at this match-up. Once you do, you’ll see that it won’t be that easy for Man U this time. While I’m still going to predict a win for the Red Devils. I don’t think that it will be quite as convincing as it has been as of late.
