Titans vs. Ravens Week 5

Point spread for the week 5 NFL clash between the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling.

Tennessee Titans vs. Baltimore Ravens Matchup and Breakdown

Both the Ravens and the Titans have gotten off to good starts this NFL season. The Ravens dropped a game just this past Monday night versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a game that the Ravens should have probably won. Turnovers in the second half killed them in that one. Even with the loss, which made Baltimore 2 and 1 on the season straight up, the Ravens are still 3 and 0 against the spread. A lot of that has to do with the fact that not much was expected out of the team going into the season. Even less was expected out of rookie QB Joe Flaaco, who has been pretty good. NFL betting fans have to take notice now. Teams that continually beat the BetUS online sportsbook wagering spread are teams that football betting fans should be keying on.

That means, of course, that the Tennessee Titans might be the best key team in the entire NFL. The Titans are 4 and 0 on the season. It’s not just that they are 4 and 0 it’s that they are 4 and 0 versus the BetUS online NFL betting spread. They are also 3 and 0 with Kerry Collins as the quarterback. This is a much improved Titans team from last season. Rookie running back Chris Johnson adds speed on offense and the defense is playing much better this year, so far, than they did last year.

Here are the odds, lines and totals for this matchup:

Tennessee Titans – 3 – 115 – 145 O 33 ½ – 110
Baltimore Ravens + 3 – 105 + 125 U 33 ½ – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game:

The Tennessee Titans are 12 and 5 against the spread in their last 17 games on the road.
The Tennessee Titans are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games against an AFC opponent.
The Baltimore Ravens are 3 and 10 against the spread in their last 13 games following a straight-up loss.
The Baltimore Ravens are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games at home.

Something’s going to give in this game. One of these teams is going to lose against the BetUS online wagering spread. Both the Ravens and Titans bring terrific defense to this game.

The difference between the two teams is on the offensive side of the ball where the Titans can run speed plays with Chris Johnson and power plays with LenDale White. With both of those guys in the backfield it will be hard for the Ravens defense to keep the Titans from at least attempting a field goal or two in this game.

Week 5 NFL Prediction:

Because of that, I sort of have to go with the Titans in this game. Even though the Ravens are at home, the logical online bet to make is on the Titans at –3 and -115 at BetUS.

The Titans are good enough to maybe get into the end zone on their own. More importantly, they could cause Joe Flaaco and that Baltimore offense to cough the ball up a couple of times. That would lead to turnovers which should lead to more Titans’ scores.

I’ll be making an online bet on the Titans in this game.
