Week 17 NFL Spread: Titans vs. Colts

Point spread and prediction for the week 17 NFL clash between the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling…

NFL Week 17 Playoff Preview Titans vs Colts

This is going to be akin to watching an NFL Pre-Season game. The Colts have secured the number five seed in the AFC Playoffs by virtue of their 11 and 4 record. Most sports betting fans should be aware that the Tennessee Titans beat the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday and secured the number one seed in the AFC Playoffs. With neither team having a whole lot to play for, I expect both the Colts and the Titans to come out and just get through this game. The Titans will start Vince Young. That might give them an edge in this one. Against the BetUS Sportsbook, the Titans are the best in the NFL at 12 and 3. The Titans have been NFL betting profit makers all season.

The Indianapolis Colts will be seeking their ninth straight-up victory in a row. I don’t expect to see Peyton Manning at all and because the Colts have fought through injuries all season, I expect to see Marvin Harrison, Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne on the bench as well. Even though Indianapolis has been fantastic straight-up this season they are only 7-7-1 against the BetUS online sportsbook betting spread. That makes them a difficult online bet in this game even though they are at home and neither team is playing for anything.

Here are the BetUS online NFL betting odds in this game:

Tennessee Titans – 3 – 105 O 38 – 110
Indianapolis Colts + 3 – 115 U 38 – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game:

The Tennessee Titans are 6 and 1 against the spread in their last 7 games on the road.
The Under is 7 and 2 in the Tennessee Titans last 9 games on the road.
The Indianapolis Colts are 1 and 5 against the spread versus a team with a winning record.
The Under is 4 and 1 in the Indianapolis Colts last 5 games as an underdog at home.

Neither the Colts nor the Titans have anything to play for. So, how do BetUS online sportsbook football betting fans handicap this game?

Not by looking at trends! This game comes down to the back-up quarterbacks, Jim Sorgi vs. Vince Young. Young will be trying to impress folks out there after getting benched for a 35 year old former alcoholic in Kerry Collins while Sorgi will just be trying to keep his job as Peyton Manning’s back-up.

Young believes, and a lot of NFL betting fans do as well, that he should be a starter in this league. The Titans could demand serious value for Young if they don’t feel he’s the future of their franchise. But he has to play well in this game.

Titans vs. Colts Prediction:

If Young goes out and plays the way he is capable of playing, then I truly believe that the Titans cover the BetUS online wagering spread of 3 points. That’s the online bet that I will be making.
