Georgia vs. LSU Predictions – Week 9 CFB Betting

Point spread for the week 9 college football clash between the Georgia Bulldogs and the LSU Fighting Tigers, plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for ncaa football gambling.

NCAAF Week 9 – Georgia Bulldogs vs. LSU Fighting Tigers

The Georgia Bulldogs travel to Baton Rouge to take on last year’s SEC Champion, the LSU Fighting Tigers. Georgia started this season ranked number one in the nation and then fell a couple places but were never out of the top three until a terrible loss at home to the Alabama Crimson Tide ended their chances at the BCS Championship. They have a long hill to climb to get back into the title game.

The LSU Fighting Tigers were playing above expectations by starting out the season 4 and 0. Then they had to travel to The Swamp in Florida and wouldn’t you know it? They just couldn’t handle Tim Tebow and that Florida offense. They ended up getting swamped by the Gators 51 to 21. LSU has no dreams of making it to the title game this year. They just want to keep playing well in the SEC including in the SEC Tournament and then make their way to a BCS game.

Here are the online betting odds for this game.

Kick-off: 10/25/2008 3:30 pm est.

Georgia Bulldogs + 2 – 110 + 110 O 48 – 110
LSU Fighting Tigers – 2 – 110 – 130 U 48 – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.

The Georgia Bulldogs are 6 and 2 against the spread versus a team with a winning record.
The Georgia Bulldogs are 5-2-1 against the spread in their last 8 games on the road.
The LSU Fighting Tigers are 3-8-1 against the spread in their last 12 SEC Conference games.
The LSU Fighting Tigers are 2 and 5 against the spread in their last 7 games after a straight-up victory.

LSU usually plays very well at home but the Georgia Bulldogs know that they are a better team than how they have been playing lately. Georgia came into this season ranked number one in the nation. They returned one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Matt Stafford and one of the best running backs in the country in Knowshon Moreno.

LSU still hasn’t found a quarterback process that’s going to work for them in these tough SEC games. Their defense is very good, but it had trouble stopping Tebow and that high-powered offense.

It could have the same trouble this Saturday. Make no mistake, I am an LSU homer, I love the Fighting Tigers, but the truth is that Georgia looks to be a very solid play on the money line at + 110.

Week 9 NCAA-F Prediction:

I’m willing to forget about the spread and just take the Georgia Bulldogs at +110 on the online sportsbook money line.
