NFL Week Five Picks – Atlanta Falcons vs. Green Bay Packers

The online BetUS Sportsbook hasn’t released online NFL odds on this game just yet. I do believe that what I have listed below is what’s going to happen in this game. One of the reasons I am so confident is the fact that both the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers have become mirror images of each other when it comes to winning against the BetUS online wagering spread.

The Atlanta Falcons currently have a straight-up record of 2 and 2 and a 2 and 2 record against the BetUS online betting spread. The Falcons have been much better so far this season than they were last season.

Rookie quarterback Matt Ryan has played very well. The addition of running back Michael Turner has made a huge impact on this team and the defense is much more disciplined than they were last year.

The Green Bay Packers looked like one of the best teams in the NFC in the first two weeks of the season. Since then they have dropped their last two games versus the mighty Dallas Cowboys and the surprising Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The biggest hurdle that NFL betting fans will have with placing a wager on this team this weekend will be whether or not starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is able to play. If he can’t, then the starting nod falls to rookie Brian Brohm. Brohm has the tools to be a star in this league, but will he be able to manage an NFL game?

Even though Aaron Rodgers may not suit up for the Pack, there’s just no way that Green Bay goes off less than a 5 ½ point favorite. As well as Rodgers has played this season, up until last Sunday’s fiasco versus the Buccaneers, the Packers are a solid team overall not just at the quarterback position.

Coach Mike McCarthy should be able to get something going on the ground versus that Atlanta defense. Not only that, but Atlanta is facing perhaps the best team they have faced so far this season.

If the BetUS online sportsbook releases online wagering odds in this game and the Packers are only favored by 5 ½, then no matter what happens to Rodgers, I have to take that online bet.

Week 5 NFL Prediction:

I believe the Packers should cover at 5 ½ points in this game and I’d make an online bet on them all the way up to 7 points.
