NFL Week 5 Wagering – San Diego Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins
The San Diego Chargers needed a miracle fourth quarter in order to beat the Oakland Raiders this past Sunday. The Raiders were up by fifteen points going into that fourth quarter. They gave up twenty-five.
Not only did the Chargers pull out the game straight-up but they also pulled it out against the BetUS online wagering spread. That has to be good news for Chargers’ fans but for online football betting fans it’s important to note that the Chargers needed a big fourth quarter in order to win their last game against the online BetUS Sportsbook betting spread. The Miami Dolphins are coming off of a bye week. Two weeks ago the Dolphins upset the mighty New England Patriots by handing the ball off to Ronnie Brown and basically running him down the Patriots’ throats. The key in deciding which team to back in this NFL game should be determined by how online wagering fans feel about the San Diego Chargers’ chances to improve on their record against the spread. Even though the Chargers have a winning record against the spread, one of their winning games occurred this past Sunday versus the Oakland Raiders where they scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to cover. Like I wrote above, that was an exception, not the norm.
They may not be able to do that on the road against a Miami Dolphins team with a stellar running back. Now that Ronnie Brown is healthy and running behind the gigantic man-child that is left tackle Jake Long, the Dolphins have the ability to not only run at will but also to chew up clock.
That’s exactly what the Dolphins will try to do in this game. They will have to in order to keep that terrific San Diego offense on the sidelines.
I’m inclined to take the points in this game. The BetUS online sportsbook odds makers have always loved the San Diego Chargers. I tend to believe that a lot of times online wagering odds are inflated on the Chargers whose defense isn’t nearly as good as it has been in the past.
