Golf Analysis – Tiger’s Waiting to Pounce

There was a rumor that Tiger would be returning this weekend in the Buick Invitational. It doesn’t look like he will which means that BetUS golf betting fans can let out a huge sigh of relief.

Throwing Tiger into the mix means that fans will have to rethink exactly how to bet some of the other terrific overlaid golfers in any field.

Last year, with Tiger off the links such terrific players as Kenny Perry, who just won the 2008 FRB Open last weekend, and Anthony Kim had a chance to shine. With Tiger returning, things could be different.

Or, maybe not.

The bottom line is that Tiger will be returning from an ACL injury. Any online betting fan that watches football on a consistent basis knows that returning from an ACL injury is not easy. That’s the reason nobody has seen Tiger really get into that perfect swing just yet.

But eventually Woods will get back onto the links. Here’s some advice for online sportsbook betting fans regarding Tiger’s return.

Bet Woods at +250 in the British Open – – If Tiger returns and decides to play in the British Open, then he should be a huge overlay at +250. Why? Woods won’t return unless he feels he can play at 100%. That’s just who he is. The British Open is tailor-made for his style. He becomes a bigger favorite once he actually does return. So, get your money down on him now.

Do Not Bet Woods at +150 in the 2009 Masters – – Those are ridiculously low online odds for Tiger to win the same tournament that started the legend in 1997. The Masters is a tough tournament for any golfer to win. Tiger may or may not be up to par for it. He could, but he might not be. I’d pass right now.

Do Not Bet Woods in his first two to three tournaments – – Woods can be an automatic victory for online betting fans if he gets hot, but the man is coming off of an ACL injury. He doesn’t even know how he will do in that first and second tournament. Take a flyer until Tiger gets his feet underneath him.

Take a flyer on Kenny Perry at +3500 to be tops in the 2009 Money List without Tiger Woods – – Perry just took down a $6,000,000 tournament. Who’s to say he doesn’t keep it going? He can just pick up paychecks every weekend without having to deal with the heavy hitters in the Four Majors. He’s a terrific bet at those odds.

Good Luck!
