We still have another tournament on the PGA Tour before the Masters next week but it’s never too early to have an advance look at the odds for (arguably) golf’s most prestigious major. Who has the inside track for Augusta?

Here’s a look at the top 10 odds to win.

1. Tiger Woods (+705)

I’m getting really sick of this. Sportsbooks continue to abuse bettors by milking Tiger’s name (same routine with the No. 2 guy on this list). In reality, Tiger should barely be a top-20 pick. He hasn’t won a tournament since 2009 and hasn’t strung together four good rounds in the same week this season. Forget how many green jackets he owns. This is simply not the same golfer that graced the Tour before the scandal struck.

2. Phil Mickelson (+750)

There’s the Tiger Trap and now the Phil Trap. Mickelson’s overly aggressive, sometimes sloppy play is coming back to bite him this season because his scrambling isn’t up to snuff. He’ll draw action at many a book because of his name but it won’t be warranted.

3. Martin Kaymer (+1415)

The world’s top-ranked golfer is young but won’t be scared of Augusta now that he has the 2010 PGA Championship under his belt. It would be far more justified to see Kaymer favored to win it all this year.

4. Lee Westwood (+1415)

The “best never to win a major” collar hangs heavy on his neck. Westwood was the runner up in two of the three majors he played last year – including the Masters. He also picked up his first PGA Tour victory last year. Picking him depends on how much faith you have in his poise under pressure.

5. Nick Watney (+1415)

He doesn’t have a major but, unlike Westwood, he seems to be steadily improving and marching toward that elusive honor. Watney has a win and five top-nine finishes in six starts this season. The 29-year-old is playing with tremendous confidence right now and is a top contender at Augusta. He was a respectable seventh there last year.

6. Dustin Johnson (+1815)

Dustin Johnson could be ready to win the big one after being put through the wringer last season. He had the dreaded 82 on Sunday of the U.S. Open and the horrific penalty to knock him out of the playoff at the PGA Championship. The golf gods owe him, don’t they?

7. Luke Donald (+2550)

Donald will be a very popular Masters pick. His game is rounding into form, as his one victory this season suggests. He’s also second Tour in scoring average, eighth in sand saves and 14th in putts per round. That kind of touch around the greens will come in handy at Augusta.

8. Graeme McDowell (+2550)

The charismatic Irishman isn’t playing great this month but he sizzled with three top-10 finishes to open his season. As he showed in winning the U.S. Open and the Ryder Cup last year, McDowell is at his best in high-pressure situations, so we shouldn’t forget about him at the Masters.

9. Paul Casey (+2550)

How long before we start calling the long-hitting Brit overrated? He fared well in the British Open and PGA Championship last year but he missed the cut at Augusta. Casey also hasn’t won a PGA event in two years.

10. Justin Rose (+2550)

No Matt Kuchar? The Englishman, still chasing his first major, edges Kuchar to round out the top 10. Rose has two top-five finishes over his last two tournaments. He’s been excellent in the sand and at hitting greens in regulation this season. However, will Rose’s supbar putting (111th on Tour) be his downfall at the Masters?
