But, as long as Henrik Lundqvist is on fire, stingy New York is a tough opponent most nights. He’s 3-0-2 with a 1.36 goals against average and .953 save percentage this month.
Is there a colder team than the Ottawa Senators right now? I doubt it. The woeful Sens have lost five straight games and their goal tally reads 1-2-0-1-1 over that span.
It’s not exactly fair to say they “lost” the Dany Heatley trade, as we don’t know what Heatley would’ve done to the locker room had he stayed, but let’s just put it this way: San Jose imports Milan Michalek and Jonathan Cheechoo have one goal between them in the year 2010 (and Michalek just landed on the IR). Heatley has four.
If you think the Sens, who (a) have scored five goals in their last five games and (b) have the second-fewest road wins in the NHL, can win at Madison Square Garden tonight, you’re insane.
