The Buffalo Sabres who have been terrible at home head to Wells Fargo Center to take a Philadelphia team that has been equally bad at home. The Sabres are coming off an impressive 6-1 victory on the road against the New Jersey Devils while the Flyers return home after a disappointing loss in Columbus.
Both of these team are similar in that they are not scoring many goals lately. The Flyers are averaging just 2.57 goals per game while the Sabres are scoring just 2.67 goals per game. Buffalo is an awful 11.7% on the power play and Philadelphia is even worse at 9.1%.
Betting Prediction: There are a couple of factors to consider in this game. The Flyers played last night and the Sabres have been off since Saturday. The Flyers have lost three of their last four at home and Buffalo is 3-1 on the road this season. Probably the biggest consideration is the goaltender matchup – Ryan Miller versus Brian Boucher. I’ll take Miller any time!
