Two hated rival meet in each’s last regular season game of the season on Saturday night. For the Habs, holding onto sixth place in the Eastern Conference is certainly worth playing for. For the Leafs, it’s all about finishing up strong against a team that they despise.

Montreal isn’t exactly rolling into the playoffs they are bumbling! They are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games overall and are coming off an absolutely uninspiring overtime loss to the Senators. Nothing, except for Carey Price is going exactly as planned.

The Habs offense has been invisible in the last couple of weeks – they have scored two or less goals in six of their last eight overall. There are some minor signs of life however – Mike Cammalleri and Andrei Kostitsyn both have three points in two games and Brian Gionta has three points in his last three.

Carey Price got the night off on Thursday so chances are that he will start. Price is 2-0-0 with a 0.99 goals against average in his last two starts overall and against Toronto this season he is 2-2-0 with a 1.33 goals against average and two shutouts.

It’s another sad end to all of you sad, sad Leafs fans but at least you’ll have the Canadiens to kick the crap out of in your final game – right? Give the Leafs credit – they have turned it around and have looked like a contender in the second half of the season.

The Leafs have gone 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and they look like they have a legitimate #1 line of the future and an unquestioned #1 goaltender. Joffrey Lupul has six points in his last four games, Phil Kessel has five points in his last four games and Clarke MacArthur has six points in his last five games – not too bad!

Once again, it will be Reimer time for the Leafs. If Jean-Sebastien Guigere starts, I’m not watching hockey anymore! Reimer is 7-2-1 in his last 10 games with a 2.24 goals against average. Despite being pulled in his last game – Reimer is the real deal!

Betting Prediction: This should be a very entertaining affair indeed. The Habs are the better team but the Leafs are the hotter. The bottom line is that only one of these teams is playing with the passion necessary to challenge for a playoff spot and that team is not in the playoffs!

Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs -120
