Game 7 Free Stanley Cup Predictions: Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

The ultimate culmination of a superb NHL Betting season goes down Wednesday night – one game to decide whose boyhood dreams will come true. In what has been one of the more bizarre Stanley Cup Finals in recent memory, the Vancouver Canucks, after getting outscored 17-3 in their three losses in the series have a chance to close it out on home ice where they have been decidedly better.

There are some serious question marks going into the Big Game and none of them have to do with the Boston Bruins.

Boston is no stranger to Game 7’s- this will be the third game seven that they have been in these playoffs! They have been the better team so far in the series for sure – dominating at home and competing hard on the road. The offense has been an issue for the Bruins in their three games in Vancouver – just two goals total in the three games so far. Boston needs the Game 6 aggressiveness in Game 7 – all three losses in the series have been in games where they have been decidedly outhit. Physical dominance is key to success in this series!

Tim Thomas has given up eight goals in six games in the series stopping an eye popping 201 of 209 shots directed his way. It’s hard to imagine that Mr. Thomas will not be at his best on Wednesday night!

Ahhh, Vancouver – what is going on? How could a team look so good one night and look so bad the next? It is absolutely baffling! About the only good thing from Game six is the Sedins finally showing up – one goal for Henrik and two assists for Daniel. Mayson Raymond is out for a team that has scored just five goals in three games on home ice in the series. If you are a nervous Canucks fan, I don’t blame you! [ad-4437448]

Roberto Luongo has turned out to be the Manny Ramirez of hockey – it’s just “Roberto being Roberto”. He looked bad in Game 6 – BAD! This after a brilliant Game 5. Luongo is a completely different goaltender on home ice – in the series at home he has a 0.67 goals against average and a .979 save percentage. It would be the bounce back game of the century if Luongo somehow steals this series for the Vancouver Canucks – certainly possible if “Roberto is being Roberto”.

Betting Prediction: The home team is 29-8 in the last 37 Stanley Cup Final games including 6-0 this season. That says a lot! I know that Vancouver has answered every question thrown their way this season but never has the question been so big. With Mayson Raymond out of the lineup and the questionable defense that they have endured in the last few games, I have no confidence in the Canucks holding off a Boston team that has played three spectacular home games and three good road games in the series. Sorry Quin and all you Canucks fans – prepare to be absolutely heartbroken!

NHL Betting Trends:
BOS are 21-6 in their last 27 Wed. games.
Under is 20-6-4 in BOS last 30 vs. Northwest.
BOS are 7-3 in their last 10 vs. Northwest.

Under is 5-2-1 in VAN last 8 vs. Northeast.
VAN are 85-36 in their last 121 home games.
Under is 6-2-2 in the last 10 meetings.

Pick: Boston Bruins +130 and the Under – 5 goals
