The oddsmakers certainly aren’t making Vancouver an attractive play on the Moneyline! But let’s face it; the Vancouver Canucks appear to be simply too much for the Nashville Predators. Up 3-1 in the series, Vancouver has a chance to close out the series at home on Saturday night!

If there is one word to describe the Nashville Predators it is spirited. They are as pesky a team as there is in the NHL but their one glaring flaw is magnified when they play a team like the Vancouver Canucks – there simply isn’t enough offensive fire power on the team! Patric Hornqvist is pointless in his last six games, Sergei Kostitsyn is pointless in six and Mike Fisher is pointless in his last five games. Thank goodness for Joel Ward and Nick Spaling!

Poor Pekka Rinne – he is 1-3-0 in the series so far with a very respectable 1.69 goals against average.

The Vancouver Canucks might as well ride the Ryan Kesler wave into the next round. The dude is getting assists with broken sticks for crying out loud! Vancouver is a confident bunch right now and is not scared to throw out any one of their four lines at any time of the game. The Canucks are a handful for any team – and by the way, thanks Henrik Sedin for scoring your first goal in 16 games into an empty net to take the game over the total!

Roberto Luongo is 4-1-0 in his last five games since being benched against Chicago with a 1.20 goals against average. Luongo is answering the bell for 58 minutes every night – it’s the final two Canucks fans always worry about.

NHL Betting Trends:
Under is 13-3-3 in NAS last 19 vs. Northwest.
Over is 6-2-2 in NAS last 10 overall.
Under is 18-7-7 in NAS last 32 road games.
Under is 13-3-1 in VAN last 17 home games.
Under is 14-4-3 in VAN last 21 overall.
Under is 19-7-2 in VAN last 28 vs. Central.
Under is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings.

Betting Prediction: Nashville is a game bunch but it is hard to imagine just where the offense is going to come from. The Canucks, to a man, said that they learned something from the Chicago series – do not give your opponent any life! Expect the Canucks to close it out on Saturday night in yet another low scoring game.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks -210 and the Under – 5 goals
