NHL Saturday Night Gambling Rundown!
Hold on to your pants because I don’t have a lot of time! Just like my usual Saturday nights (with the ladies) I’m going to make this fast, forgettable and painless! As always the home team is in caps and the visitors in…uh…regular sized letters. Here we go!
MONTREAL CANADIENS (-170) over Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers look absurdly rough around the edges. Not that Montreal is much better, but Montreal has owned Philadelphia in the regular season. That’s an NHL betting trend you can rely on, especially with these two teams going 7-of-10 in the OVER.
Toronto Maple Leafs (+130) over VANCOUVER CANUCKS
Once again I’m turning against the Canucks for having the most boring version of hockey in the league. They posted three back-to-back-to-back shutouts, but then lost to Colorado 2-1 on Wednesday. The Leafs have endured well thus far on their Western Canada road trip, and look for them to capitalize on a Canucks team that gives up way too many shots on net.
Boston Bruins (+135) over NEW YORK RANGERS
Between Phil Kessel and Lance Armstrong, I am this close to chopping off one of my testicles and elevating my game to an elite level. I’m pretty sure that these guys were elite athletes before they went uni-ball, but you never know. At this point in my miserable life, I’m willing to try anything to turn it around.
Ottawa Senators (-135) over New York Islanders
I don’t care how badly Ottawa stinks. They’re not losing to the even crappier New York Islanders. But if they do, I will be the first to point and laugh my fat face off.
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS (-145) over Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres are coming off a home game on Friday to travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday to play one of the most explosive teams in the league. Though Ryan Miller will likely get the rest…gah…you don’t even know who those guys are. Sidney Crosby rules! Go Penguins!
MINNESOTA WILD (-185) over Columbus Blue Jackets
Don’t bet against the Wild at home (unless they’re playing Vancouver) and never bet on the Jackets on the road (under any circumstances…that includes when you’re wasted).
Dallas Stars (+115) over PHOENIX COYOTES
The Stars are battered and bruised with four losses in five games. They had one stunning performance against a bumbling Ducks team, but the Coyotes are the type of team that they can dancea aroudn with disciplined skating. The Coyotes are coming off a shutout loss to the similar Minnesota Wild. Plus they’ve sucked forever.
EDMONTON OILERS (-155) over Colorado Avalanche
What the hell? Edmonton is favored in this one? Colorado just won two games in a row and they never lose to Emdonton! Well except that one game a month ago…and that other game in March. Actually for the past sports betting year the home team has always won when these teams meet dating back to November 2007.
Nashville Predators (+135) over LA Kings
The Predators can’t lose all the time? Can they?
