2010 NHL Winter Classic Betting

Gambling On The 2010 Winter Classic

In my humble opinion tomorrow is the BIGGEST DAY IN HOCKEY BETTING, and may be the biggest single-day sporting event held in Boston…EVER.

It’s time for the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, and the puck will drop at Fenway at 1pm ET.

This year’s matchup features the Bruins hosting the Flyers.

All the folks who grabbed tickets to this event are expecting something special, as are the TV audience who will be tuning in on NBC in the US, and CBC in Canada.

I think most of the players too will have a grasp of the history and hoopla behind this game as well, and will be UP for the matchup. We should see a terrific game.

Five Things To Watch For

  • 1) Will the players be wearing touques under their helmuts? (As we Canadians call them) (Explanation…http://www.wordwebonline.com/en/TOUQUE)
  • 2) What will the weather be doing? The game can be played if it is snowing lightly, but rain could cause weather delays
  • 3) Nerves of the players…YES folks this is a big deal.
  • 4) Coaching – Neither of these two bench boss’ has much experience coaching a game of this magnitude.
  • 5) Who will drop the gloves?  These two teams don’t like each other as history suggests. I hope we see some fistacuffs.

Pick:  Both teams won last night.  Boston defeated Atlanta, 4-0, and the Flyers defeated the Rangers, 6-0. Two teams coming in with some momentum to add to the day.

I’m picking the Bruins to get’er done tomorrow. We should see a dandy.

Happy New Years Folks!
