Bruins vs. Hurricanes Game 3 Betting

Experts didn’t even predict the Boston Bruins would make the playoffs, the B’s find themselves as the top seed in the Eastern Conference, but tonight they play the Hurricanes in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semi-final…

NHL: BETTORS EXPECT BRUINS BOUNCE BACK

Ward stymied the Bruins throughout Game 2 as the Hurricanes left Boston with the series tied at 1-1, thanks to a 3-0 win on Sunday.

In that game, Ward turned aside 28 shots over the final two periods while the ‘Canes had only 12 shots of their own over the final 40 minutes, including just three in the third period.

Boston brought the pressure in Game 2 and although Carolina wasn’t up to the task of handling it, their goaltender was.

Ward, a Conn Smythe trophy winner as the MVP of the playoffs when the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2006, remained calm and collected as Boston continually peppered him with pucks. But, despite the strong performance in Game 2 and a resume that shows he plays his best in big games, Sportsbook.com members like Boston to get pucks past him and regain the series lead on Wednesday.

It’s hard to argue with members given the regular season the Bruins had, along with their depth and discipline. So far in the playoffs, Boston has just 78 penalty minutes, they took just one minor penalty in Game 2 and amazingly have killed every penalty they’ve taken so far in the postseason.

“They’re a great team and they stay out of the box; that’s a lethal combination in the NHL Playoffs,” said Sportsbook.com spokesman, Dave Staley. “They got shut out last game but you don’t go through the playoffs perfect anyways. As long as Ward’s play doesn’t get into their heads, I still think the Bruins are the team to beat in the East.”

Will the Bruins bounce back Wednesday night in Carolina?
