NFL Betting Odds: Arizona at Seattle

Matt Hasselbeck returned last week from a broken rib injury and led the Seahawks to a 41-0 ass-whooping of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had an outstanding performance with four TD passes after completed 18 of 30 throws for 241 yards.
Hasselbeck only was active for one game against the Cardinals last season and he went 17 of 29 for 170 yards with a touchdown with three interceptions in that game.
However this year’s Arizona pass defense is ranked 27th in the league and has allowed 9 TDs against and has only 3 interceptions. Last week the Cardinals defense limped around the field in the win 28-21 over the Texans but they did score on an interception by Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
Hasselbeck will be able to stretch the field with WRs Housh and Nate Burleson. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
The real issue for the Seahawks will be on how to establish their running game against the number 1 rush defense in the league. Arizona allows only 71.0 yards per game.
Last week Seattle RB Julius Jones had a forgettable game as he carried the ball 12 times for a total of 34 yards. Jones could be in for a rough time as he was held to no touchdowns and 25 rush yards with one fumble in two 2008 games vs. Arizona.
On the side all NFL betting fans know that the Cardinals will go as far as Kurt Warner’s arm can take them.
Warner threw for over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns against Houston last week. In two games against the Seahawks last season, threw for over 600 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions. Keep in mind this year’s Seahawks defense has improved and now ranks 5th in points allowed per game.
NFL Betting Trivia: Last year the Arizona swept Seattle for the first time since they became division rivals in 2002.

You never know what kind of effort you are going to get from the Cardinals. They can still score a ton of points, but their defense is still suspect. With Matt Hasselbeck back in the lineup for Seattle, the Seahawks are the better team, especially at home.
