Brett Favre and the Vikings are heading into a gimme game. Despite the Bears D is 5th against the pass they have allowed some big plays this season. Football Picks

“Getting back to that confidence that I had when I didn’t know any better, that was pretty good,” Favre said. “And I’m feeling more confident. I’m more of a realist at this age, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go out there and turn it loose.”

Favre has some big weapons in WRs Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin. Rice has had a good second half performance last week when he grabbed two touchdowns and finished with 89 yards on six catches. Rice has 50 catches for 875 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

The Bears knows Favre and Rice are not the only threats in this offense. If they prevent the pass a little too much Adrian Peterson will be eating them alive, so basically it’s a pick your poison kind a game for Chicago. Peterson is currently listed as questionable after he missed practice on Friday with an illness.

For the Bears offense it’s up to Jay Cutler to avoid the turnovers. He leads the NFL with 18 interceptions and 5 of them had been in the red zone.

“I haven’t played up to my expectations,” Cutler said. “I think that’s the most important part. I can play better. I know that.”

Bears RB Matt Forte also has struggled this season, losing his explosiveness that made him a top tier back last season. With no running game the Bears have put all their faith in Cutler and it hasn’t work out. The offensive line has struggled to give him time and will now face a pass rush that tops the NFL with 36 sacks.

Consider these betting NFL betting trends: Minnesota is 2-5-1 ATS in its last 8 games at home and Chicago is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games. Also if you’re betting on the game total keep in mind it has gone OVER in 4 of Minnesota’s last 5 games when playing Chicago but it has gone UNDER in 4 of Chicago’s last 6 games.

I just do not think the Bears have enough talent on either side of the ball to match up with the Vikings, not to mention that this game is in Minnesota which makes things that much tougher.
