NFL Week 9 Review and Week 10 Preview

With Week 9 almost a thing of the past – and my uninspiring 6-6 ATS record along with it – now’s the time to take a look ahead at the full slate of games on the docket for Week 10. This review of Week Nine’s contests and glimpse ahead at this week’s upcoming contest, will give NFL bettors the insight they need to make a bunch of winning NFL betting predictions.

Arizona Cardinals 41 Chicago Bears 21
This pick was as easy as pie with the high-scoring Cards routing the inconsistent Bears. Arizona looks like a winner again in Week 10 with the lowly Seahawks visiting while the Bears could fall at Frisco on Thursday night.

New Orleans Saints 30 Carolina Panthers 20
Yeah the Saints won, but failed to cover the NFL point spread for the second straight week just as I predicted. However, New Orleans will probably cover at St. Louis next week no matter how high the point spread is while the Panthers will look to bounce back against at home another division rival, the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10.

Dallas Cowboys 20 Philadelphia Eagles 16
While I picked the Birds to win this game, I said these two teams are very evenly matched and Dallas could win in my NFL upset special article, which they did. Now sitting pretty atop the NFC East, Dallas visits the struggling Packers in Week 10 while Philly could very well lose at San Diego.

Cincinnati Bengals 17 Baltimore Ravens 7
I knew the Bengals could pull off the upset here against the inconsistent Ravens and advised NFL bettors of this fact in my upset article late last week. Now, the surprising Bengals have an even tougher matchup in Week 10 at Pittsburgh while Baltimore will get back in the win column against the Browns in a matchup that I’m absolutely shocked will be on television on Monday night.

Atlanta Falcons 31 Washington Redskins 17
Ho-hum. Hopefully NFL gamblers jumped all over my ‘lock’ pick in this matchup. Atlanta visits Carolina on Sunday in a knock-down, drag-out battle while Washington takes is likely looking at another loss when the Broncos visit.

Indianapolis Colts 20 Houston Texans 17
The Texans covered the big spread here just as I predicted and have one of the league’s final two byes in Wee 10 while the Colts have a tough home matchup against their longtime rivals, New England, on Sunday.

New England Patriots 27 Miami Dolphins 17
The Fins narrowly covered the spread as I predicted and should be able to take down the Buccaneers in Week 10 while the Pats will be matched up in the Game of the Week on the road at Indy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38 Green Bay Packers 28
What the …! The Packers allowed the Buccaneers to win their first game of the season one week after losing at home to Minnesota and now have to host a quickly improving Dallas team while the Bucs visit a tough Miami team in South Florida.

Jacksonville Jaguars 24 Kansas City Chiefs 21
I knew the Jags weren’t that good and the Chiefs have been playing hard, which is why I’m kicking myself for picking the Jags to cover the 6.5-point spread in this one. Jacksonville will be looking to win on the road against the Jets in Week 10 while Kansas City visits the lowly Oakland Raiders, led by Tom ‘I’ll smack my woman around whenever I feel like it’ Cable.

Seattle Seahawks 32 Detroit Lions 20
Yeah the Seahawks won and covered as I predicted, but they’re going down at Arizona next week while the Rams are getting blitzed by the Saints at home in Week 10.

San Diego Chargers 21 New York Giants 20
I thought the Giants would win and cover in this contest out of sheer desperation if nothing else, but that didn’t happen. Now the G-Men have a much-needed bye in Week 10 while the Bolts will try to beat another NFC East team when Philadelphia visits.

Tennessee Titans 34 San Francisco 49ers 27
The Titans upset the Niners for their second straight win under Vince Young and now look to make it three in a row with the uninspiring Bills visiting in Week 11 while Frisco hosts ‘Da Bears’ on Thursday night as they seek to snap a four-game skid.
